For the past few years, Whole Foods has released a yearly beauty bag of all the best organic, non-toxic and natural beauty products that they sell. Its value normally surpasses its price and it’s often accompanied by a week-long 25% off sale on all their beauty products. The catch is that it’s only available to purchase on ONE day in the entire year. Now you can imagine that lots of people go out of their way to get their hands on this beauty bag and cash in on the 25% off sale. This year I was lucky enough to buy a Whole Foods beauty bag. Let’s see what’s inside.
First, for anyone who was curious, the bags were sold on March 23rd. This year they were stuffed with items from all the popular green beauty brands like Acure, Dr. Hauschka & more. There was a limit of one bag per customer, which I completely understand. The price of this bag was $20 but on the tag it states that it has a value of $100. I will be calculating the final total at the end of this post to see what it is really worth. But for now, let’s look at each of the products inside of the 2018 Whole Foods beauty bag.

Price & Value
This year the bag was priced at $20. If you’ve been following these Whole Foods Beauty Bags for the past few years, you may have noticed that they are increasing in price from $15 to $18 and now to $20. It might be due to more makeup items over the years or rising demand for more bags. I’m not sure, but I thought I should just mention it.
Now let’s look at the total value of the items we got in this year’s bag. Before I start, two items above don’t have an estimated value. Since I couldn’t find a reliable source for their price online, I didn’t feel comfortable giving these items arbitrary values based on what I thought they were worth. So the total value of the bag is $95.75, not including the following 2 items: the makeup bag and headband. This total also doesn’t include bonus coupons and discounts that accompanied some of the products like the Dr. Hauschka Lip Care Stick or Satva Sustainable Headband. If I could include absolutely everything, the true value of the bag is well above the stated $100 value. Impressive, right?
Final Thoughts
As for the break down of the items, I think that Whole Foods did a great job incorporating more makeup items into this year’s bag. I also appreciated the inclusion of the sustainable headband in this year’s bag because it shows how Whole Foods supports sustainable, eco-friendly companies as well as non-toxic and natural brands. Furthermore, I LOVE that they continued their partnership with the amazing, socially responsible company Piece & Co for the makeup bag this year. I’m hooked on this brand!
Overall, this year’s bag was a great value for the price of $20. I’m genuinely looking forward to trying out many of the items in my Whole Foods Beauty Bag this year. Do you have any specific items you are excited to try? I think it might be the Derma E Radiant Glow Facial Oil for me! Let me know what yours is in the comments.
‘Til next time!
